After spending months trying to find a very light coverage foundation that I could wear everyday to school & to run errands; I saw this Glossier advert on Instagram and I was immediately intrigued (you probably know what I’m talking about)

Everyone was talking about this amazing makeup line that was nothing like the other makeup brands in the entire industry and so I had to check it out. And I must say; my overall impression is good. What Is Glossier: 

Glossier is an American makeup brand that focuses on natural beauty and skin imperfections. One way to put it is Glossier offer makeup products that are extremely light weight and ‘glossy’. Their makeup looks are very natural, transparent and glowy and made for all skin types and shades. Glossier once started from a blog and is now one of the fastest ever growing companies in the world and is now worth $1.2 Billion !

What it claims to do:

Glossier claim to give a smooth, dewy finish to your face and is makeup that lets your skin show through.

“The Perfecting Skin Tint goes on easily, evening out complexion and leaves skin feeling smooth and dewy. The Stretch Concealer is buildable, a brightening formula that hides dark circles, blemishes, redness, and more with a dewy, undetectable finish.”

“The Boy Brow is a brushable, creamy wax that visibly thickens, shapes & grooms brows into place”. 

First Impressions: 

I loved the guide on for finding the right skin tint for your shade as it offered a range of women with different skintones so it was very easy and enjoyable to find the shade for me. I also noticed how versatile the foundation actually is. A range of women from all different skin colours varying only slightly but enough to use a different foundation shade can use the same skin tint. To be honest I was spoilt for choice when choosing the right skin tint shade!

In terms of price, I do believe it is a bit on the pricey side for the size of the product. 

The makeup came lovely packaged in a cardboard box. Although I loved the aesthetic of the inner packaging unfortunately; the use of the plastic makes me believe that it’s not environmental friendly. When I first opened it, it was runny and smooth making it extremely easy to apply with just my fingers. Most foundations are extremely cakey and require a damp sponge to apply it evenly. 

Does It Do As It Says:

The texture & consistancy of the foundation was exactly how Glossier portrayed it to be in the ads which gives me the impression that Glossier is reliable & trustworthy. When I apply it; it’s extremely light-weight and smooth, which is true to what Glossier claim.

It’s guide to finding the right shade was extremely accurate as I got it matched perfectly which isn’t always the case. It gave me a very lightweight, fresh & natural look which we are all loving right now! My skin shined and glowed as it gave me a dewy look which is what Glossier claims. I was very happy with how well true the product was as some brands tend to exaggerate the quality of the product. 

In terms of the boy brow, I LOVED it! After using it to groom, brush and shape my eyebrows, I began getting so many questions on them. People were like “Hey did you do your eyebrows?” And I was like no, it’s just the boy brow. This is undeniably my favourite product from the entire Glossier Makeup line as it works for extra-ordinarly well.

As you all know, the boy brow is Glossier’s Infamous product and I can see why!!! Another great thing about it is that it comes in different colours such as black, brown & clear so you can choose the look you’re going for!!
