Get enough sleep

You may be familar with this one; sleep affects the brightness of your under eyes. Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep to ensure you all well rested and don’t look tired. Sleeping on time and waking up on time can brighten your under eyes and makes you appear more fresh and awake.

 Cold tea bags

Tea bags don’t only make up for a good hot beverage! They are great at reducing dark circles under the eyes. The coldness of the tea bags increases the blood flow to your under-eyes, brightening the eyes.

Mint leaves are your best friend

Mint leaves are great for reducing dark circles under the eye as they also increase blood flow to the under eye area. Crush up some mint leaves and apply it under your eyes for 5 minutes. You should feel a tingling sensation. This is the mint leaves working.

Potato slices are great!

Applying cold potato slices under my eyes is one of my favourite homemade remedies for dark circles. Simply slice up a potato into thin pieces and let it sit under your eye for 5-10 minutes. Potato has brightening properties which will help reduce the darkness.

Aloe vera gel does the job!

This remedy is so theraputic and screams spa because of how cooling it is.

The idea is to apply something cold under your eyes to increase the blood flow and what better than aloe vera gel to use!

Either extract aloe vera gel from the plant or simply buy some from your local store and leave in the fridge overnight.

Aloe vera has amazing cooling properties so it can be very cold when you apply it under your eyes. Massage it into your skin with your two fingers or you can simply use a jade roller (which I love).
