Louis Vuitton Pochette Bag Review – Is it worth it?

 

Hello my LV lovers! I wanted to share a review on the Louis Vuttion Pochette Bag with you to help you decide whether to make the purchase or not. As a gift from my mother a few years back, I can safely say that this is one of my  favourite bags to date. Louis Vuttion bags tend to be further on the pricer side – giving it its title as a luxury brand so I understand if this purchase is rather significant to you. Here is a review of the Louis Vuitton Pochette Bag 🙂

 

The Louis Vuitton pochette bag is considered more of an acessory in comparision to a bag, and this is because of its feature of being – small in size. Perfect to carry your neccessities; the Louis Vuitton Pochette bag is as an everyday, light-weight bag that compliments any outfit you’re wearing (click here to see outfit ideas for winter time) . In terms of pricing; it’s not LV’s most expensize bag (see further below). This bag comes in Monogram and Damien Canvas. It’s also extremely functional in terms of carrying your neccessities such as your phone, wallet and lipstick.

The Design of The Louis Vuitton Pochette:

A small rectangular bag coming in 2 types of canvas; Monogram & Damien, you can choose from which ever style you want. This Pochette has a thin strap attached to it for over the shoulder wear. If you’re a fan of mini bags (like me), then you’ll love this bag. Keep in mind, if you are someone who likes to carry loads of things, then you may cease to see the functionality of it. The Pochette has a pocket on the inside which is a great compartmentaliser to keep things organised. With gold coloured metallic pieces attaching the bag to the strap; the strap is detachable. The strap is made from cowhide leather trimmings, which overtime, will create a lovely patina (brown colour). This is essentially an iconic trademark of Louis Vuitton; its beautiful patina which forms over time with great care.

The Sizing of The Louis Vuitton Pochette:

The Size of the Pochette in Monogram canvas is slightly smaller than the Damien Azur canvas.

Pochette Size: 23.5 x 13.5 x 4 cm / 9.3 x 5.3 x 1.6 inches  (Length x Height x Width)

The Materials of The Louis Vuitton Pochette:

As described above; what makes this bag all the more iconic is the varying types of materials which make it stand out (after all, the details is what makes the bag). The strap is made from a cowhide leather trimming which overtime will form the iconic LV patina. The pieces that connect the bag to the strap are golden couloured metallic which gives contrast to the bag in opposed to the brown monogram canvas or white/grey damien azur.The Pricing:

One of the nicest things about this bag is the pricing of it. Louis Vuitton bags are typically over £1000 pounds (which is a large purchase)  whereas this bag is retailed for £565. You can become a Louis Vuitton Bag owner at just half the price!

Pros:

• light-weight – you can carry it anywhere everywhere
• Fits all essential things such as phone, mints, wallet.
• Not as pricey as other LV bags/items.
• Range of materials and details which make the bag stand out.
• Extremely in fashion.
• Iconic LV bag which can upgrade any outfit.
• Great investment for your wardrobe and investment into your finances as the price of the Louis Vuitton Pochette only increases.
• Great material and lasts a very long time.
• Perfect bag to start off your collection with.

Cons:

• Still expensive.
• Too small to carry everything you need – such as sweaters, notebooks etc.

Conclusion:

I do believe that this bag is a must-have in your wardrobe as it effortlessly makes you look & feel classy. It can be worn with just about anything and its small rectangular shape is in fashion atm. For half the price of a bigger LV bag, you still got your hands on a designer bag if you’re looking to start your collection. If you’re a luxury lover then you’ll know this is a great bang for your buck.  A classical piece by Louis Vuitton and you won’t regret buying it! Take it to the office, a party, to school or on a picnic – wherever you are this is a stellar design from Louis Vuitton which is extremely functional.
